Grand Arbor

Grand Arbor is one of Laytonardo’s most expansive kinetic works — an architectural sculpture built at installation scale. Constructed from solid brass rod and custom hand-built trusses, the piece combines engineered structure with suspended ornament, mirror-finished brass globes, crystal counterweights, prisms, antique charms, acrylic Zen spacemen, and a perforated sheet metal Metatron cube.

Large in scale and highly layered in detail, Grand Arbor is designed to hold presence within an interior. Its movement creates a slow, shifting relationship between brass, crystal, reflection, and space — making it feel less like an object and more like a floating architectural system.
